This is a tibute to Adele meaning, “noble”…
Even as a cherub she was a bundle of kindness
Her smile generous as the serene moonbeams
Or the brilliant golden smile of the sun
That burns to impart life to others on earth
Like a nectarine rosebud she imparted ambrosia
Of sweetness to others with her words
Like the generous earth that nurtures those
That trample her bosom, dig at her heart
Or the cuckoo that sings mellifluous songs
With no desire for renown or appreciation
And the trees that endure the ferocious sun-rays
Or the arrows of the falling rain in tempest
But provide cool shade and shelter under embracing arms
And bend their boughs in generosity to give golden fruits
Always sharing her toys and trinkets
Always ready to help and care for another
Always willing to forgive and forget all wrong done
Her laughter soothing as the strain of the flowing brook
And her gaze soft as the sheen of a pearl
Her touch like the caress of cool fingers of breeze in summer
And her heart like the pot of leprechaun’s gold
Hidden at the feet of the elusive incandescent rainbow
With the noble demeanour of an empress,
Adele reigned the hearts of one and all…
