We start the poem represents the Danish royal dynasty from its founder to the current ruler, King Hrothgar, who manages his country as a wise ruler. Beowulf and his entourage will issue from southern Sweden, Geat County, across the sea with his entourage to help Hrothgar. It is warmly welcomed and Hrothgar. After the evening banquet – the main character narrates, advocates in a dispute with the king’s orator of his earlier works and especially oath – were all taken to safety and the hall still sleep just Beowulf and his men. Grendel, as usual, comes for his prey, expect resistance. Manages to kill one of your party and reaches for Beowulf. Evening banquet held again and Beowulf and his companions are then accommodated in a fair room. At night, however, the monster enters Heorotu again, this time Grendelova mother who wants to avenge his son. Kill the king and take home the best fighter Aeschera. The king mourns, Beowulf, however, offers pomc again, even if they lived up to its promise. Royal speaker that will give him a powerful sword Hrunting and after the zkazek know where lies Grendelova bog, issued to Beowulf and his companions with the royal procession to avenge the death of a warrior king. In the second part Beowulf is already dead king Hygeláka Géatska (Götaland) and as old and experienced king must face the second test. Beowulf remembers his early experiences and then, followed by several species, is issued to find the dragon. It will eventually cave and throws himself against the dragon. His companions, however, betray him, when they get scared for life and flee. Beowulf himself hard and resistant to the last moment had come to help the remaining one, a young Wígláf, who had vainly tried to call the others back. Finally, with Beowulf kills the dragon with Wígláfovou, but he is severely wounded and dragon breath slowly consummated her. Wígláfovi speaks to and asks him to fetch him to show something of the golden treasure, so it might last look. Wígláf after Beowulf’s death, returns to the court, brings a fraction of the treasure and brings Beowulf to the place of the close of the others. They treasure carries with Beowulf, which eventually bury the line and puts his mound.
The poem ends with a sinister vision of the future ruler of the Geat without waiting for submissions from the Swedes, as it finally happens.
Outside the main storyline is intertwined images of mythical poems and stories by one of the traits is the view of many things vague to meet Christian standards but also correspond to actual Germanic customs.
