Reading a story in a book from Time-Life the Enchanted Kingdom–Night Creatures was a story of Grendel but of Grendel not Beowolf and went as far as killing the second monster. Using points that semed interesting I recounted what I had read. Originally I got to the encounter with Grendel’s mom yet lost tthat and added my created version to the part I had as a standard which was the thwarted Beowolf who’d successfully Killed Grendel but there was still death afterwards. I finished the story here accentuating that origin of my reading-that Humans were chasing the night creatures into isolation. I looked-up the encounter with the Mother to see if I had any significant missing recountance and repoemed that part to my original writings as I recalled.

Beowulf the Wolf like Bee. Two in one makes Bear.

The strongest man you’ll ever see.  Stronger was his Care.

He had Heart.  Not like Most.

He would not even leave his post.

Grendel came. Grendel killed.

Beowulf was stronger Willed.

Grendel dead. Victory! The next night one more victim claimed

Beowulf’s Anger flared, like the fanning of a  blaze.

Followed the trail to a watery door.

Beowulf’s aides could follow no more.

Something he had to do and did alone.

Tracked Grendel’s mother to her under-water home.

No bare hand to this fight settle.

Luck be tooled with fine honed mettle.

On the wall be there a sword.

Of course it bore an Ogre bane ward.

Cries of Joy the night regained.

These evicted creatures of the night lay slain.

Grendel’s mother joined her son.

All in all Be-o-wulf won.
