Life is full of them.
It’s all lies,
I’ve seen it before,
with my own two eyes.
Just believe,
and the truth will set you free.
I’ve been staring at walls,
looking for answers,
trapped inside my mind,
for way too long.
“Whatever pleases you,”
she said,
“It’s your life,
do with it what you like.”
I’d do anything not to break your heart,
to make this right,
if only for tonight.
When the bad washes in,
you’ll run,
afraid,
but I’ll stay,
and wait out the storm,
I’ve come too far,
to turn back now.
You’ve gone so far away.
Sing on the wind,
and I’ll breathe you in,
say my name,
and I’ll taste your every thought,
write your name in blood,
and everything I know will be destroyed.
Just for you,
I’d leave it all behind,
and forget all those other times,
those other people,
in a place like this,
I won’t be missed.
Home,
where I lay my head at night,
where every doubt is written on the wall,
where I cut myself,
just enough,
to numb the pain,
don’t say goodbye,
or next time,
I’ll just let the blood flow,
I’m letting go of life,
and giving in to sweet death.
This is what you wanted right?
While Im dying,
I’ll tell you I’m fine.
I’d do anything to keep you alright,
to keep the worry out of your eyes.
I do adore your smile.
This is just another bad dream,
please take me away,
this can’t be happening.
This is the worst kind of betrayal,
I knew never to trust such a dissatisfied face.
I threw away the love letter,
you always needed to sleep peacefully.
Screaming through your bedroom window,
“This is how I say goodbye!”
