The subject matter of this peom is about being in a bad relationship, which I think most of us as human’s can relate to. For everyone that has been in one, you do eventually figure it out at your own rate because sometimes love can be blinding but once you do see this and end the relationship, you end all the bad things that go with it and I think we can all agree it may very well have been the best decision you ever could have made.

Your greedy and inconsiderate
Your selfish and cruel
Trapped within your uncaring heart
Your disrespectful and dishonest acts
Have made me play the fool.

No sacrifices
Have come from you
I have given my life
So that you would not be blue

You want
And you take
Until nothing more is left
Alone with this empty heart
I have now been put to the test

But through this emptiness
A glimmer of light has shined through
A subliminal message from deep within
Sever the ties and start over again

It is easier to forgive
Then it is to forget
Even the faded and tainted memories
Cannot be tossed in a pit

I have opened my eyes
To your distasteful ways
A majestic solace
Without you
I once again think
Of better days

Very well expressed, it’s good to write as a poem, need not be read by the person who has caused the hurt…
Relationship is very complicated, sweet can turn bitter..

I can feel the hatred. I just wish it wouldn’t happen to partners. It pays to choose well. :-)
