The sun burns bright above my empty world
a strange signal calling me to unfold
the events that have passed
wont be forgotten

with all these parallels
i cant help but imagine

life with you or without you
it simply doesnt exist
reality burns inside me
do i really exist?

the light you’ve shown,
the despair i feel,
it makes my chest cave in
the dark you bring,
the hope i have,
has changed me into this thing

i cant look out
cause its too bleak
and nothing i see
reflects the light

so a void of self digests me

it seems i’ll never know
how to show whats burgenoing inside
the facade that covers my visage
is just another way that i hide

so peel my flesh
off of my bones,
i need you to uncover
the darker side of one thats scorned
the one you left alone

take your time
cause i take mine
and its slowly erodes me
just to know just how you think
to understand the reasons

i’ll never blame or put to shame
either ones decisions
but it seems to me a fragile hearts
held by a calloused hand

the autumn comes, and soon winter
to cover all our reasons
the time will pass, but i wont collapse
you should know i dont change with seasons

will we be any better?
its better to have loved and lost
or is that the truth now

if loves forgiveness, what can we say
about all our transgressions?
did we go wrong, or falter down
to a nothing state of presence

we keep it in, and dont let go
of the parts that have harmed us greatly
we need to learn to tell the truth

cause when i pass, and turn to dust
the universe will remember

the lengths i’ve gone
that wrenched my heart

but failed with great content

these are the dreams
between day and night
a letter that wont reach you

these are the words that
when night burns day
we grow out into nothing

yet through it all
i question me
