Poem warning of how bad landlords are plentiful.
Evil landlords take a bow
To anger tenants they know how
Regard for the law some not have yet
Tenants rights many do forget
In control of their difficult lives
All sorts of excuse they indeed contrive
How not to obey their legal need
They just increase their continual greed
They are a disgrace to the landlords guild
A bad name for the industry they do build
Tenants are too frightened to speak
To obtain legal rights they forever seek
No redress and having no rights
Their attitudes are to cause a fright
It ’s so easy to throw on the street
Tenants who a settlement seek
Legal aid does not provide
The means to put bad ones inside
They hold a license to break the law
And win hands down on every score
Genuine landlords who honestly care
Are few and far between to share
Letting tenants have peace of mind
Prospective tenants find it hard to find
Some are lucky and have no complaints
As often their landlords are like saints
Not enough is being done
About those causing aggro for their fun
Trying to take these bad ones to court
Often is painful and with tensions fraught
Before you sign that important line
Ensure the agreement is read so fine
Don’t fall into a bad landlords snare
As your human rights are just not there
Be most careful about who you choose
If you arn’t careful it is much you’ll lose
