Not just an ordinary bicycle, or is it?

I’ve got a bright red bicycle
It really is a dream
Its wheels are shiny chromium
I always keep it clean

I check the tyre pressures
Inflate them when i need
Oil the chain and cables
To help increase the speed

The front wheel’s fairly small
The back one’s slightly larger
It can go a million miles an hour
With its super turbo charger

My bikes the very bestest
And one day I will try
To pedal hard and flap my arms
Then I’m certain it could fly

I’ll keep this bike forever
It makes me feel alive
But, Dad says I’ll need one bigger
Next year, when I reach five

What a lovely little rhyme. Takes me back to my childhood in the dim and distant past. On my first ‘outing’ on a bicycle when I was 4 I ended up in the flower border amongst my dad’s beautiful lupins and delphiniums and flattened ‘em!! Thankfully he was quite understanding.
