Humorous poem about a young fellow with a very big mouth.

Big Mouth Charlie
Never shut his mouth.
You could hear his voice
All over the house.
He would talk about his failures.
He would talk about his successes.
He knew all his best friends
Phone numbers and addresses.
Charlie’s mother would plead,
“Would please stop talking.
You’re driving me crazy
With all your bantering and gawking.”
But Big Mouth Charlie
Would just go on and on.
He would talk from dusk
Right through til dawn.
Finally, one day Big Mouth
Could talk no more.
He was very upset.
He was very sore.
His talking ceased.
He had no choice.
That’s what happens
When you lose your voice.
