The really tough life of a bear in the wild and all he must go through to survive. Maybe as humans we could counter relate some of our own struggles in life to his; but no matter what, please don’t kill the bears.
Over on the back side of the Hill,
There lived a Bear who’s name was Mr. Bill.
He’s the strangest Bear you’ll ever see,
Very, very much like you and me.
He goes to the lake to catch a fish,
The fish is Mr. Bill’s favorite dish.
He goes there and Bill is unaware,
Of all the hunters who will shoot the bear.
Late at night while everyone’s asleep,
Bill goes out to see what he can eat.
In the moonlight there’s a sudden snap,
Bill just stepped into another trap.
Then the snow starts falling on the ground,
Bill limps to his hill and he lays down.
When the snowfall melts and Bill awakes,
He is froze – And has a sore toe ache!
Over near that rock beside the mountain,
honey flows for Bill just like a fountain.
All around his poor and aching feet,
Blueberries are more than he can eat.
Not to far from Bill is Mt Saint Helens,
Smoke is comin up and lava’s swellin.
Honey bees are swarmin like a coat,
And those berries they are really – Poison Oak!
Don’t kill the bear,
He lives over there.
Bill lives in the Hill
Please don’t shoot,
Mr. Bill.
