Man has destroyed the Earth and only the birds can see it.

Oh little bird on wing so high,

Crossing under clear blue sky,

What do you see in your eyes.

With each beating wing as you rise,

Higher and higher in the skies,

What do you see, what do you eye.

Is it the sea so blue, glaring up at you,

Or the mountain range so high,

Is that what catches your eye.

As you wing your way across the sky,

Do you see the barren earth,

Does it make your eyes dry.

Do you look at sun-scorched grass,

Or see the melting polar caps,

Reflected in your eyes, as you map.

Or do you see the fires burn,

Feel the earth in mortal pain,

Do you close your eyes at that.

Can you see the damage done,

By people who now want to run,

Can you see them, now there work is done.

Do you see the luscious green,

Or maybe just where man has been,

Is this all that you have seen.

Oh little bird how much you see,

As with wings you do flee,

So much more, than we.
