A story in poem form, highlighting pollitical/religious opposition.

Besides the valley of the divine
Stands aside two mountains that lay on a crust,
Two streams flow down and collide with the maters below
Upon collision forms a sparkled dust
Layers of feather light iron lay adrift up high
Gliding and crawling, Circulating the hill tops up high

The mountain to the west lays a blanket
Holding up a majestic throne
Two boulders of gold for each arm
Tree daggers of gold claws for each foot
Wondrous power flows through the fabric of this throne
Oh behold! The power of all rests upon this throne.

A peasant from the east overcomes the mountains resistance of conquer
And climbs atop, to whiteness the sight of wonder.
“Is there no flesh to lay rest on this thrown?”
The peasants question echoed out were the iron roamed.
“I beg you make whiteness, my knees are down for thee”
As the knees grazed the ground, and his head began to bow,
There before him, appeared the king to his crown.

“Oh great light that brings life to my crops each day
Oh great night that keeps nature at bay
Oh great leader that gives me right to live as I may
I quest here from long and far to speak out a wish that has borrowed in my chest,
Using nothing more than the tool of a sharpened dart”

“Explain my child from the fields afar; I shall listen for you are my art”
As the king spoke all time froze
The peasant dared looked up, and witnessed the king sitting on his thrown
And spoke these words with a shiver and high tone

“The screen on the east hill, why must we not see?
Wipe the screen and clear its chest
Let it speak truth of the message it kept
And we shall stand close, eager to digest”

The silence that took place could  be compared to no other
Not even the sound of a thousand thunders

“How dare you inquire the answers that lay deep in the smoke screen from the east!
The information is for my eyes, and my eyes too keep
No peasant in worthy of the sight that you seek
The consequence will be dire! And the world shall forever lay in sleep”

“I fear not of the consequences of my quest
I travelled long and hard for the information that the screen keeps
Why must we work for a shadow that only shows in the night?
My lord, my fire, why not trust your herd of sheep?”

“I have answered your question and my answer stands
You shall not obtain the secrets that you demand.
My words are final for they are the last you shall hear
I shall see your body lay thin at the bottom of this mountain
To be sure these words shall not travel to your fellow peasants
Of your quest and questions, for your questions shall spark too much thought
Curiosity shall never dictate over the moors”

With one swift motion the king’s arm threw
Taking with it, the peasants body flew
The king was sure the peasant lay dead on the floor of the mountain
But a simple that he held, made sure he could live the rest of his life through.

The peasant decided he shall turn his back on the kings decision
And make haste to the east mountain, the secret was big, he knew.
A struggling climb and endurance so rough
But the spirit of this peasant broke through.

He stood at the top of the east, once again on his knees
Stood whiteness besides the smoke screen
He peered inside, his eyes he could not trust
For what he witnessed there, was far too much

“How could this be? This could not be true!?
I’ve lived my life so wrongly, its true?
No God, no creator?! I must keep this secret too.
I shall guard this screen for the remainder of my days
I cannot watch humanity lose their ways”

And with that stood a guard on either mountain
Keeping the secret hidden from view.
The two guards were constantly at war
Splitting humanity in two.
Some fought for the king, some fought for the peasant
Both fighting for what is true.
But only the guards knew the truth
