A mash up of words.

our parents call;
hopscotch drawls a city sprawl.
elastic clung to our ankles man-of-war and poisoned our
[minds were sodom and gomorrah, our bodies salt]
and we breathed ocean into the detriot river on the michigan side.
we were entropy.
inconstant motion.
There was no desire stronger than that to grab your hand &&
RUN through that treebark labyrinth
RUN through those amber waves of grain, those majestic purple mountains
-run through those spacious skies and shining seas.
