Our young soldiers are being thrown away and no one is trying to make a change. society is haopppy to have us stay afraid.

Our young brothers, sons, and friends put behind metal bars told when they can speak and when they can eat.

Some are there for no good reason just waiting for their case to be called.

(while)Trapped behind those unbreakable cold walls a year before the DA decided to drop the case.

(Now) their set free life has changed.  Many can’t get a job because they’ve been charged, enlisted, labeled, branded by the legal system.

(you start to see) Families turn away, friends walk away, strangers look at them like they have something to say.

( what they don’t realize) These young black men are at a low their not thinking about how pray changes things. They turn to crime and walk on the streets with blinded eyes seeking refuge.

So they keep that street mentality. A cell phone to make that last call (hello) and the killer to make the next fall (boom boom).

Can you remember back in the days if there was someone looking depressed or just plain upset?

Words of encouragement would be shared with that young soldier

(sounding something like)

“Stand, the sun will shine again”

Now a days that young men is treated like his void. One mistake, maybe two per society’s definition less valuable unable to be used. Put at the back of line without wondering about his story.

(granted community)

I don’t blame our change of actions. This has been fed by society. They shadowed us with there stereotypical ways. Which made us quiet, cold unable to promote change. So anyone with that “street mentality” we put under the same light we choose to give up the fight.

As a community it’s time to spread our mission. It’s time to change the way we see our young black men.

It’s time for the young black men, to take a stand and be better than, cleverer and refuse to be locked by societies rule

Some one had the nerve to stand and yell:

Elect a new president

I replyed:

well that’s real intelligent

(But)

This can’t be done by who’s appointed to office

This can’t be done by turning the TV sets off, closing your blinds and covering your eyes

(We must)

“Help, love, rebuild, forgive and lead.

(Please)

Don’t wait for another bullet to leave the chamber, another innocent child being laid 6ft in ground, another mother crying tears of pain, a young soldier being trapped only to be released with nothing to gain

(you have to remember)

A time frame was never given when it comes to our success

So now is the time to Take our communities back
