An open letter to Black women and all women alike! There is enough hate directed towards us; we don’t need to direct it toward each other!

Self hatred is a sneaky emotion.

You don’t even realize it’s around.

But, clearly it’s in heavy rotation.

Trying to divide and bring us down.

Girl, why you rolling your eyes?

You don’t even know my name.

Are you salty because of my skinny thighs?

While yours are about to spark a flame.

Honestly, I don’t want to go there, it’s not in my nature.

But, I am tired of your hatred we are the same.

Born of greatness and of many shades,

So what issues do you have with me?

Blatant disrespect makes me want to sharpen my blades.

But, I love my people, so I leave you be.

Face all twisted up, I still extend my hand.

As soon as she turns her back, you smiling at my friend’s man.

Always wanting to throw dirt on the next one.

Quick to gossip about what you don’t like.

You’re playing yourself though because the mirror’s reflection

will never show white.

I’m just getting started, this rap session has just begun.

My dear Black sister from the truth don’t run.

Stop allowing the world’s views to be that of your own.

Stop with the irresponsible, time to really be grown.

Unfortunately, I’m calling you all to the floor.

Maybe you will take the time, your hearts do explore.

Your intentions I’ve tried to ignore, but I can’t anymore.

My soul has so much more understanding to pour.

My black sister what is your angle?

Why you always trying to finagle?

Like when you talk maliciously about your baby’s daddy.

What does that say about you?

He was good enough, for his baby you did carry.

You dirty dogging him, you are putting yourself down too.

I realize you ain’t dressing for him.

Funny, when did the tables turn?

I could care less what you sporting, you won’t tell me anyway.

I’ve asked and you only just stare,  my spirit trying to burn.

Keeping all your pretty girl secrets.

What a selfish gesture because really it’s not all about you.

What good is your life if you’re keeping the blessings close to you?

I don’t get along with females; although for many this may be true.

What I want to know is what does that really say about you?
