For anyone who has ever been in a relationship they wanted to end SO badly, they were willing to take all the blame just to be out of it.
Blame it on me; I’ll take the fall
My shoulders are broad enough now
Having carried the full load all this time
Never depending on you for support
What’s a little added weight?
I’ll be the bad guy; take the hit
For your failures and mine
No different than it ever was
Everything always comes down to me
I was overly critical and highly suspicious
And your motives were oh so pure
Actually I was just tired of the nonsense,
Sick of trying to maintain the façade
Proclaim to the world how hard you tried
I was the stubborn one, prideful
Resistant to change, I gave up
Blame it on me; I really don’t care
It can be all my fault
So long as it’s finally over
