The heart that bleeds.

When you’re hurt, the heart bleeds
Somewhere along in the bitterness
You seem to be lost
With that bleeding heart
Had you known better,
You would’ve stopped your bleeding heart
The way they look at you, it hurts no more
The way they treat you, it hurts so much more
Somewhere along in the bitterness
You leave your self
With that bleeding heart
Had you known better,
You would’ve cried it out
They start to accuse you,
Some sort of deceit, some sort of misunderstanding
You stare at them in disbelief
They don’t look back at you
Somewhere along in the bitterness
You lose your self
With that bleeding heart
Had you known better
You would’ve chosen to lose those friends
They begin to raise their voice,
“You lower yours”, grant them one last choice
Somewhere along in the bitterness
You leave them
With a bleeding heart
Had they known better
They wouldn’t have messed with someone like you
