Never let someone break you
beyond repair.
Who would dare to reach the core
of a heart so deeply shattered
To touch the soul of loneliness
that seems so torn and tattered
~
Who would ask this heart
to take just one more chance
to take a step with them
believing in romance
~
To unfold this person so defiled
that’s built a thousand walls
to cut the scars of hidden wounds
kicking her as she crawls
~
What type of person sees someone
who can barely breathe
watch her stand to knock her down
falling on broken knees
~
What type of fool would fall for this
who long gave up on love
and knows that she could lose everything
with just a simple shove
~
Another blow, she’s fallen again
this time not seeing a way
scars ripped open, now bleeding
can’t take another day
~
Ballooned ego he walks away
he conquered a heavy task
beside a bleeding heart
he leaves his ~nice man’s~ mask
~
What he doesn’t know will shock him
she has more strength than he thought
protection for his own heart
is something he should have bought
~
Never mess with a woman
who has nothing to lose
for the biggest wound you opened
is now just a simple bruise
~
Don’t break the heart of a woman
that’s been broken a thousand times
Vengence may be the Lord’s
but victory comes in time
~
Is he prepared to know
that beside the mask he wore
he dropped his heart unknowingly
as she smiles while yelling “Score!”
~
When he finds it has gone missing
and can’t seem to fill the whole
wonder what will happen
to this dumb and foolish soul?
~SCORE~
