Poem deploring the Blair era which began Britain’s woes.

BLIAR

In droves we voted to give you clout

to scour the sleaze and revamp our lot

You stormed to power bold claims to tout.

But from your lair the stench of rot

seeps by the day and cloaks in shame

our once proud land that put to flight

The Nazi hordes by the force of flame.

In Iran our troops are leached of might

then sell their tales; no doubt your deal

to heal the slight to honour now slain.

Our actions are mocked, from scorn we reel

From this cheap stunt there’s naught to gain.

And then you crown your cronies for cash

Bow down your head, we voters now cringe.

The trust we offered you trampled as trash

But in your heart no guilt shall twinge.
