This is contemporary poetry by me inspired during times of test and trials. It is also published in my poetry site.

Faith blinds me from seeing the real world
For what it is, absolute darkness!
I lie in a pool of self pity
I lost my will to survive
I lost my will to live
Let the darkness claim me
Where is the strength I need
For how much is it available
The right path eludes me so much
That I lost my sense of direction
Neither do I lead nor do I follow
Prayers are one too many
To believe it will be answered
Is an illusion just like hope
I hold on to faith by mere threads
Love ceases my breath with a cruel hold
That I cannot accept or express it
Greed grabs me by the throat
And turns me inside out
Passion is the missing piece
To my miserable life’s puzzle
Bloodshed and misery, hunger and pain
Is this a test of faith
Or the testament to our sins
