A poem about poeple who’d rather be fake than real.
Don’t tell me
The sky is gray
When I can look to the sky
And see the day
Why must you lie
Is truth so hard
Simple little things
You tear them apart
It could be so easy
If you’d only let go
Forget all the lies
Put an end to the show
I know you too well
You’re not what I see
So stop with the story
That no one believes
You’re no one special
Not anymore
You’re no longer the person
You were before
Once you were kind
Honest and true
Now you are someone
None of us knew
You’ve changed too much
Not for the good
You haven’t done anything
You said that you would
But go on pretending
All things are fine
See only what you want
But I am not blind
