A poem that reminds one to be thankful for the blessings one recieves, instead of lamenting over the past. Problems are caused by Man himself, who by robbing the world of its wealth, robs himself of God’s grace.

The sun has arisen

The birds have awakened.

With their voices so merry

A praise do they carry

“Thank you, O Lord,

For this day.”

The sun has arisen

The man is yet sleeping.

The lessons of great minds

Do pass him by in binds

While he dreams on

“If only I were…”

The sun has arisen

The soldiers are fighting.

With thoughts like a child’s

And blind to its Guides

The world is singing

“Enjoy this god.”♦
