The sound of rain of the roof.
Pollen fills the air we breathe,
Dust is on the ground.
Heat wells up to sap the strength,
Of everyone around.
Nothing seems to bother,
The children as they play.
No tee shirt, shoes, or socks,
Why can’t we be that way?
A drop of rain comes from the sky,
Another drop, now three!
The dust begins to settle down,
And pollen has to flee.
The sound of rain upon the roof,
Makes such a blissful sound.
Restful sleep comes easily,
When you wear your bedtime gown.
