Guys working on big-block engines, enjoying spring, and having fun.
“Blockin’ Out”
Clint and Derek, “blockin’ out”,
We’re all just having one-tons of fun.
Beers, blood, and sweat,
They’re bustin’ their asses
In the burning rays
Of that fireball in the sky
We call the sun.
But they don’t care,
They’re obviously loving every minute of it,
It’s better than sittin’ around doing nothing.
At least all their efforts are for a good reason,
Reason being, “spring is the season”,
And that’s good enough for me.
The time of year to be outside,
Not in the house,
Hibernating, or trying to hide.
It’s time for us to soak up the sunshine,
Breathe some fresh air,
Feel the famous Kansas wind
Blowing through our hair.
So the guys will spend all day
Tinkerin’ around, turning wrenches,
And in the end,
They’ll take pride in all their hard work.
And when they get all their big-blocks runnin’,
That’s when it’s time
To take them all out to play!
