A poem about a flower that continuously blooms.

BLOOM AGAIN – Susan Varo – 10-13-95

There’s this flower

In my garden

and it never dies

Though it’s wilting

hence come morning

but it never lies

It keeps through the autumn

and the winter’s breeze

when the summer lifts it up

just below my knees

Then the rain comes

and I know that

cause I know it’s when

You’ll start reaching

for the sunshine

when you bloom again

High up

there’s a robin

busy as a bee

Who can

feed the robin

better let him be

And come down

kiss the flower

so it never ends

Until that final hour

till it blooms

when it blooms again

This is wonderful. Before I moved to Spain I had a Robin that lived in my garden, I was convinced it had something to do with my Auntie who died a few years ago because they were her favourite birds :)
