Life’s saddest tale.

A flower in a pasture far away
Amid its time it blossomed in the sun
It never was a threat to anyone
In mindless mist it chose to spend its day
When other flowers gambit they would run
What purpose would be served its heart would say
When other flowers fought to find a way
It sat and moped a lifestyle it would shun
A field of flowers paradise for some
Each adds a unique something to the air
Some flowers cause a lover’s heart to hum
Some even bless the fashion lovers wear
While other’s seed awaited time to come
It died and nothing knew that it was there

Martin, In particular, I like the Italian-type structure of your sonnet as well as the beautiful philosophy of the last 6 lines.
Respectfully, and with many thanks for sharing, Derdriu
