Taking up the writing challenge round 36.

out of the blue

on a mission so true

stormed the cavalry

their razor sharp blades

set against the invaders

gleamed gloomily against azure attire

The Blue Cavalry, wounded, did bleed

both soldier and steed

as the parry of blade against blade

turned the battle ground

an indigo shade

Your poem cut like a knife with the descriptive words and phrases you used.

    Welcome to the challenges!!!

I love that last line and how it had the word indigo. I agree with one of the people up there, indigo is a nice word.

I love the way this flowed, just a couple lines up top, that I tripped:)over a little, but still a great poem. “

You capture the dogmatic magnetism of war with “a mission so true”. Nice addition to Duff’s challenge.
