A requiem, if you will, dedicated to my sister Kathy. She died in a car/pedestrian accident, she was the pedestrian. She was only 18. My sister was the sweetest person on this green earth and I wrote a few poems in her honor but this one was the most focused for, you see, I had trouble w/ the first ones due to many an emotional breakdown. She had the most beautiful blue eyes that saw clearly all the way to heaven. May her essence live forever, Amen.
A sad longing for her voice
could only be enhanced by
cute wrinkles within blessed
smile, easily evoked upon her
blue eyed countenance.
Strong urging within my tattered
soul beckons forth images of a
faded past wherein lie buried
deep bluest memories when a
golden being treaded this earth.
The imprints of her existence
glow brightly upon my spirit as it
listens to her disembodied mirth,
levity, forever echoing boundless
within my essence, beyond.
Celestial beings now must form her
audience favored by her sweet
spirit’s song of how love could be
one, one is all, that hate is
nothing, love is all.
Feeling her this way I still
long for her voice but, softly now
and then, she speaks to me at my
center, where I am one, breaking
sadness in a blue eyed smile.
