Young woman falling in love while dancing to a blue grass band.
Swirling in circles…
Her skirts swishing about her bare legs…
Her bare feet kicking up old leaves and dirt…
Swaying, dancing, smiling…
Blue grass playing …
Hot, she tips the jug to her red lips…
Drinking deep…
Moonshine burning down her throat…
Spilling down her slender neck…
She doesn’t care…
Her peasant blouse clings to her…
Glistening, she keeps dancing to the blue grass band…
She laughs…
Her long black braid swaying…
Her man plays the banjo with the band…
His eyes burn with need as he watches her sway…
Her father watches from the porch…
A murderous glint in his black eyes…
She smiles as she sways…
It’s a dangerous game that she plays…
While dancing to the blue grass band…
The music slows…
The banjo gets set down…
The steel guitar croons a slow tune…
Her man takes her for a turnaround…
Holding her close…
Sun setting in the highlights in her black as night hair…
He kisses her…
All the while, her daddy is still there…
With the same murderous stare…
The band plays on…
It plays, plays, plays…till the sun is long gone…
The girl and her man slip away to the shelter of the moonlit trees…

It’s no secret…
Her daddy is polishing his new shot gun…
Everybody knows come morning…
The girl is gonna have a wedding…
And the blue grass band will play…
