A story that I made up.
Please don’t lock me in the cupboard again
I can’t help it if I wet the bed
Please don’t hurt me I can’t bear the pain
When you clip me across the head.
One day my mum was gone
Nobody saw her again
Neighbours say she was wrong
She left us all alone with no words to explain.
Last time she was here
You had a row and a good moan
You drank too much beer
When will my mum be home?
Years later a body was found
By someone out walking with his greyhound
The police sealed it off from the press
I was having my birthday and dad bought me a new dress.
We didn’t get much as we were poor
It was good to play
A week later there was a knock on the door
My dad was marched away.
My dad was arrested and charged with killing my mum
I was put into a home
Now no mum or dad and stuck in this asylum
I am all alone.
My dad went to jail
With no chance of bail
My mum went through more pain than me
She was buried deep in some woods where nobody could see.
