A few poems about the Windows error turned cultural terror.

There once was a screen that was blue,
And Oh! what a terrible hue,
It came out from nowhere,
And gave me quite a scare,
Alas, there was naught to do.
Blue screen of death sleeps
Slumbering until it’s time
To destroy your work

You were once such a beautiful shade,
Reminicent of sky, ocean, and river,
But something changed and your fate is made,
A fate that makes me shiver.
The release of Windows was a chronicled affair,
We held our collective breath,
At first we thought we hadn’t a care,
When along came the blue screen of death.
This blue backed monster of text of shame,
Demeans our skills with our favoured machine,
It comes for us all, no matter our name,
It drops your soul down a deep, dark ravine.
I miss you, Blue, and your once simple soothing,
But thanks to you, to Mac I’m moving.
