(Haven’t lost the sound
Of your voice)
Between chandeliers
And butter plates
That have been
Hurriedly cleared

The pitter patter
Of tiny feet
Move and meet
The excitement
The wonders
We boldly greet

Oh, but pause
But a moment, with steps
That cannot forget
With eyes that
Seek betterment

With blushing earnest
And an endless
Grateful zest

With a heart
That remembers
To never regret

With an embrace
That envelops
The vast, ecletic race
