Thoughts to encourage another.

Through this life, the daggers sometimes remain
Piercing, hurting, lingering causing a lot of pain.
If we are not careful to put on the proper shield
We could possibly be in the proverbial daisy field.
Ripped at the seams, tattered and extremely worn
Even though, from strangers, we don’t look torn.
Character is formed through these trials at hand
It is stamina with willingness that we take command.
Asserting our will to get to the mountain top once more
Again to experience what life has for us in store.
Bruises, sores and scars will be there for sometime
Knowing they don’t last forever I convey in this rhyme.

And you are right, the bruises and scars can be a necessity for reaching the place we wish to reach, the goals that which we set. Very well stated, with clarity and a smooth effortless flow. Michael

Great motivation embedded in this piece. I always thought (during my troubled times..) than there more people out there with much more difficulties than what i’m going through, so then I’ll be thankful and be able to smile again :D

I love how this poem has a depressed feel about it yet leaves the reader with hope. A great piece of writing that flows with such ease. I hope to get the chance to comment on your other writings and I appreciate you commenting me and if you go to my poem Anger I left you the answer to your question.

It is easy to smile when you are suffering inside. Easy read.

    Thanks for sharing.

I love this. This is a universal poem we can all relate too and so beautifully written. Nice job! Keep writing. I can’t wait to read more!

I think God gives us scars so as to remind us of the lessons we learned in our trials in order for us to become wiser next time.
