This is my front yard every morning when I go out and feed the birds, chipmunks, and rabbits. Such commotion going on as I have my coffee. Such a treat to watch life going on around you. Smile as they create such a picture that can make you forget your woes.

The pressure is on

Come the break of dawn

When a new picture is drawn

In the morning light

All the birds in flight

Will gather in my sight

The sunrise rush

Just below the daylights hush

They derive from the bush

To feed in the yard

While on safeguard

For danger at their snack bar

As they eat from the dish

All that they wish

Bathe, eat and drink with a swish

With a trendy hiss of the wind

As their day begins

They play, snack and swallow, streamlined

So come one and all

To the feedstuff that free for all

Dance in the sun till nightfall

For we provide

A safe place outside

To enjoy the served seeds to satisfy

This is an excellent poem reminding us that we get inner joy in the world of nature only. You are a great poet of nature. after reading your poem, I was reminded of Wordsworth’s nature poetry. “Getting and spending we lay waste our powers / Little we see in nature that is ours”.
