A poem about a killer.
The man walked out piercing sweetly the heart
The man’s hands covered damp redness of a liquid
The man could hear the resonance and reverberation of lights
There is an utter sight of red and blue coming from the resonances
The man looks at his hands with guilt drinking at his soul
The man pauses with suspension for a moment his legs frozen with ice covering as the cops come
The man finds the will to run and heads into the darkness of the tall green edged thick grass
Each step he takes he fills his lungs dry and parched out of air
Each moment and finally the rain fall but the blood is a permit un washable stain on his cloths
Each time he looks back he remembers the look in his victim’s eyes
He lived his life with no rules and no limits
He lived his life not knowing guilt or regret
He never thought killing would eat at his soul
His lips mutter as finally the men in blue suits reach him
His hands forced back into the silver bracelets
His body dragged to the car
There he sits till they make it to the place of iron bars
There he waits for judgment day
There he is taken to the court
He bites his lip in shame knowing he is guilty man slaughter first degree
He moves his fingers with care and looks at the judge with deep eyes
He knows that they have no right to try him only god should decide life or death
If only he had figured that out before the broken neck of an innocent girl
If only he figured that before he took up the gun and shot it
If only he had seen that before he took the knife
For it was not his right to play God, and because he tried to he broke human law and God law
