A poem about life.

Bridges of Time

Long ago when I was young,

I thought time was my friend,

I believed I would live forever,

I had no idea the path would end.

I made bad decisions, I regret,

The rebel in me had to come out,

Now I look back at the burnt bridges,

I can see I did not include doubt.

Life makes all of us change in tune

With our nature, Comes the truth,

Nothing is ever what it seems to be,

I wish I had known that in my youth.

I am happy now that I have atoned

For all of my past sins and mistakes,

The bridges burnt can be rebuilt,

Resolve and commitment is all it takes.

So true, as a youth we believe time will go on forever with us in tune. Over time we realize that time catches up to us and we must “Atone” for our sin, bad judgement and burnt bridges along the way.
You poem says it in just the flow.
    Awesome

Can relate to this one very well,,,,burnt bridges new or old cant be rebuilt.Such is being only human and maturing to realize that
time has the last word in our lives.
