This poem is about self-love and self- acceptance.

Waiting for my reflection to change,

Why won’t it change?

Alas I fear that what I see is true!

I know that what is on the outside is not important,

Yet I still stare blankly,

Into the reflecting glass at myself.

Maybe One day I will change?

Maybe one day I’ll be pretty.

I hope that one day I’ll see what you see,

I see you holding my hand.

“You are beautiful”

“Then Why do I think that I am ugly in the Mirror?”

You guide me away from the mirror,

You smash the mirror and pull me to you.

“You are Beautiful,

I would not be with you,

If I did not think you were so.”

We broke every mirror,

With each mirror broken I felt like I was more beautiful.

I look into your eyes,

And now I see the Beauty that you see within me.
