Learning to love.
Behind a wall is where my heart stands,
There it is safe from anyone’s hands.
Then you came along with your hammer and saw,
you tore my wall down, it had one little flaw-
Curiosity and emotion I didn’t know was there,
but all was exposed when you came anywhere near.
Behind my wall I tried to stay, but you refused to just let it lay.
Now I’m confused with all that I’ve had,
but to tell you the truth, it’s not quite that bad.
What you’ve done was quite a dare,
to take my heart without any fear.
No worry of rejection or anything of the sort,
You put yourself out there with no intention to abort.
You’ll never know what you have done for me,
but for the rest of my life I’ll do my best to make you see.
