A poem written about the bond we share as fellow passengers on this crazy voyage we call life.

My dawn is your sunlight,
My neighbor is your foreigner,
My country is your enemy,
My language is your gibberish,
My culture is your taboo,
My god is your fairytale,
But still you are my brother,

Oh brother what love I have for you,
That when you starve I starve,
So how could my greed cause your famine.
That when you cry I cry,
So how could my cruelty cause your grief.
That when you die part of me dies,
So how could my violence cause your death.
You are my brother and so I have love for you.

My brother power has the strength to corrupt and divide us but
Power can also unify us, and strengthen our bonds for each other.
So let us not entrust power in our government and religious leaders.
Let us not entrust power in things with no value like gold and silver.
Let us only entrust power to the bond that holds us together;
The intangible bonds of love, family, and humanity.
Because only these bonds are strong enough to
Endure the shock waves of any bomb, any earthquake any act of man or god.
