As our children grow up we watch how we impact their precious lives but we never really look at it as molding the future of our children.

 A tiny body,
 A fragile soul
The building blocks of your future
 Is only what we mold.
A loving mother and caring father
 As each day passes by
We watch you grow
From newborn and helpless
To six months and sitting up on your own
The highlight of our day is hearing you fuss and moan
After a long day at work
And tension is sometimes high
All is forgotten with one look into those innocent blue eyes
Your ten little fingers and ten little toes
You start to learn and discover
And before we know it your on the go
After that you start walking
And soon to follow you are talking
Then comes potty training what a mess but when all said and done we will both feel blessed
On your first day of school we will cry
At the thought of saying our first goodbyes
But the building blocks of your future is only what we mold
Soon you’ll start junior high
Man will those days fly
Sports, girlfriends, grades, and buddies
At points will feel overwhelming
But you’ll make it through
With the building blocks of your future you begin to mold
Now you’re in highschool
And you’re always on the go
Friends, football games, cars, and dances
When things get tough and times seem rough
Keep your head high
And I promise that you’ll get by
Then comes graduation day
As you walk across that stage
A loving mother and caring father
Will peer into your innocent blue eyes
As ours begin to swell with tears and  start to cry
We’ll say that’s my son with dignity and pride
He is what he is
Because the building blocks of his future
Is only what we mold
