Thank you for spreading awareness. Bulimia is a very serious problem and those suffering from it should seek help. I used to work with a young woman who I suspected was bulimic. Every day after lunch, she would lock herself in the public restroom and purge. It was obvious because there was a pattern.

@Spideythewebslinger: It’s very sad that you knew and yet – there’s little you could do to help. There’s little anyone can do to help – that’s why it’s so scary! (wondering if you noticed any swelling or callouses on the middle knuckles of her first 2 fingers…)

People assume that bullemia isn’t as serious a disease as anorexia because often the weight loss isn’t as severe or life threateningly quick but the health implications are massive. That is a beutifully moving poem btw.
