Just like how there are layers to growing up, to life, a young boy discovers and unwraps the most precious gift ever – Love.
My bundle of joy
Came to me one day.
Wrapped from the outside,
A surprise from the inside.
My heart skipped with joy,
Knowing it was more than a toy.
An overwhelming excitement,
Took over this boy.
My hands trembled,
As I started to unwrap.
Like a lost helpless soul,
Figuring out a map.
Unwrap the uncertainty,
Unsolve the mystery.
Unwind those lies,
Undo the misery.
Expectations,
Take soar.
High hopes,
Wanting more.
Ribbon by ribbon,
Layer by layer.
Off came the wrapping,
An end to the waiting.
My bundle of joy,
Came to me this day.
On it a written tag,
“With love”, it says.
