A poem inspired by my pet rabbit, who is indefatigably aloof!
He hops, he skips, he jumps;
Always racing around and never still.
He leaps, he lurches, he thumps;
Freezing suddenly like a leaden thing.
He is loving, affectionate and kind;
But beware of him! he can turn his back on you suddenly,
my heart.
