A Poem/Story.

Digging through the secrets and past regrets
I’ve lost myself inside my own grave
My identity misbegotten by the soil
I’m no longer solvent by my will

The crevice I thought would free me,
Turned out to be my enemy
Arranged bouquets on my colorful lies,
Always fed my denial

My heart was signified by bruises
Illicit feelings gave me delusions
Grouping together the many voices
So they could influence my choices

Intrusive meanings and lullabies
I always thought they would harmonize
But the dark expanded into an entity
That took its weight and finally crushed me

Troublesome figures in my sight
With mirrors that haunt the light
Feed upon the equity of my soul
Offer their hand for me to hold

Reaching further into their desires
They retract their intent from my eyes
I fell back into the shadows fire
And lost my life.
