A poem.

I was lost in a world I didn’t know-
lost in a world of burning snow-
where my mind was trapped
and my heart was snapped
into burning little pieces of the world.

In the chaos he left
and I was left with the mess.
All around me were flames
and ashes of blame
that were falling onto my very soul.

I was up so very high,
that if I fell I would die-
I thought he’d catch me,
but he left in a hurry
and I fell to my souless death.

But death did not come,
nor did anyone-
I was left all alone
in a world of unknown
except the burning snow in my head.

Now it’s all gone-
and I can see it was all wrong;
though I wished for more,
it would have burned my open sore
and killed me ever yet.

I escaped the world I didn’t know-
my lost world of burning snow-
with my mind in tact,
and my heart still snapped
into pieces of my burning world.
