from cities and the sticks
vendor’s spread out and lots to buy
parts, toys, knickknack’s, and pins
Buses, Bugs, Scampi and tins
judges changed by club staff
campfires rage
on site home made tacos by Cousin Willy
go further still
brownies and popcorn off a BBQ grill
tye dye shirts and handmade quilts
kites flying
kids racing VW’s via remote control
pancake breakfast got a late start
spoilers destructive acts
clueless to over all impact
the difference between vandalism and protesting
one serves no purpose the other a message
lack of understanding in any generation
is oft due to no respect
or consideration
the communication gap could be shortened
by simple acts of kindness,
pitching in
under twelve works hard to gather trash
side by side with adults
while thirteen and up hide.
The show winners for the Chili event were:
Amy – first place
Nancy & Katie – second
other prizes Phil Eslin won poem
