God uses the little insignificant things to defeat the powers of evil. God shows his omnipotent power by using the powerless to defeat our enemies. Gideon’s army defeated a numberless enemy with only 300. The only weapons they had were pitchers, lanterns and trumpets. Joshua, again had no offensive weapons but obeyed God defeated the walled city of Jericho. They defeated their enemies by obeying God and allowing God’s Spirit to defeat the enemies inspite of their weakness. "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord" Zechariah 4:6.

Gideon had ten thousand
To fight a great enemy.
But God said, “That’s too many,
Three hundred’s all you need.
Not by might, nor by Power,
But by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
As Joshua faced the city.
A great wall stood between.
God said, “March around it.”
The wall fell. What a scene!
God was not in the earthquake,
Not the fire nor mighty wind.
He was in the still small voice,
Elijah’s confidence to win.
Gideon and three hundred,
Joshua and the wall,
Elijah and the still small voice,
But God had taught them all:
When you’re facing some great challenge
And your foe’s about to win,
Look not for might nor power
But for His Spirit instead
Zechariah 4:6
