My thoughts on life.
Nov. 24th 2010.
What is it about the weather that makes me feel this way?
This time of year,
the smell of the crisp cold air
the clouds and the leafless trees with branches that sway back and forth;
with every cold chill that passes by
No flowers
No sun
No warmth
No rain
Just cold and dark memories that only bring back pain.
No warm summer days to make my heart flutter
Just coldness and silence and wasteful clutter
No strings or chords played on my heart
No songs of freedom
No love
No art
Where’s the sun that once made me sing?
Where are the sun’s flowers and warm summer breeze?
Where is the best feeling in the world?
Love.
Where did life go when the trees became limp?
The birds are gone, taking my life with them
Left behind an empty shell
To live out its days in this cold icy hell.
I won’t be sleeping in this bed anymore.
You don’t get to choose.
Fallen behind your empty words
I have few left to lose.
The orange leaves have gone up and away
The rug gad breeze make these sad, useless, twigs sway
Pieces of life falling onto the ground
Shaking up the Earth with that quiet…ringing sound
The sound that echos throughout this empty oblivion.
Distant, bright…
Chilling.
My window only gives me one view
I look in and out hoping to understand other people’s lives
Shipwrecked
No escape
Your burdens dissipate into the air as you have.
This disease eats you alive as I feel you slip away through my arms
And out of my view.
And as for you, equivalent of dissolving salt.
Gone with no traces.
The other has burned a hole and evaporated into this earth
A true test of inner strength
Don’t look at me that way
In this decade, I am already conquering.
Fear only what you have left behind.
Enclosed in this stupid prism no more
It is so absolutely beautiful,
the sound
Soft, somber and settling
Clairty.
Sweet sweet Freedom awaits
Cradling it in my hands with tenderness
And releasing it into the wind
Bye bye Birdie.
