A poem about Cain, who killed Abel his brother out of jealousy in Book of Genesis from the Christian Bible’s Old Testament and in the Book of Genesis of the Jewish Torah.

What now is this silence? Oh please

Tell me the answer, God, for not accepting

My sacrifices! Is this your way to tease

Your creation of me, who labors in reaping

All kinds of fruits to be by you respected?

Are these tears in my eyes the answers

For my self-desire to be accepted

Or my knowing of not knowing, that festers?

Please, Lord, why Abel, why him,

Inconsiderate in considering my own responsibility

Of living the good life, which now seems dim?

Bombarded as I with whys, without one possibility!

O, but a man am I with many faculties,

To kill Abel to ease my difficulties!
