A poem inspired by my friends Will and Kama.
Can a Flower Love a Color
If a color came down from the blue, blue sky
Would the white daisy look up and wink a daisy eye?
If the color purple went zooming through,
Would the red, red Rose want to play too?
If a periwinkle bluebell thought he’d have some fun,
Would playful laughter come from the yellow sun?
If the orange and brown marigolds wanted in on the scene,
Would they be closely followed by the color green?
A flower can love a color in the end,
Even when joy is all they have to spend.
